Scope and who is responsible
Sabir Islam Khan is an independent software and product engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, working with clients internationally. For the personal information described in this policy, Sabir Islam Khan is the data controller—the person deciding why and how that information is used.
This policy applies to enquiries and business communications relating to the services presented on sabirislam.com. It does not govern applications or services built for clients, which have their own privacy arrangements.

Information I collect
- Contact details: name, email address and, if you choose to provide it, phone number.
- Project information: the product or service you need, project description, estimated budget, intended start date and your role in the decision.
- Meeting information: selected appointment time, timezone and details you enter when booking through Calendly.
- Communications: messages, call notes, proposals and other correspondence connected with your enquiry.
- Technical and analytics information: with your consent, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel may process IP-derived location, browser, device, referral, page-view and interaction information. Hosting and security providers may also process limited request logs needed to deliver and protect the website.
Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, medical records or other sensitive personal information through an enquiry form.

Where information comes from
I receive information when you:
- submit an instant form or start a related conversation on Facebook or Instagram;
- book a meeting through the Calendly scheduler;
- email, message or speak with me directly; or
- visit this website, where limited technical logs may be generated automatically and, if you consent, analytics events may be recorded.
Meta and Calendly process information under their own privacy notices before making the information you choose to submit available to me.

How and why I use information
Information submitted for a project enquiry will not be used for unrelated purposes, sold or rented. Automated decision-making is not used to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

International transfers
I work from Bangladesh and use international technology providers. Consequently, information from the United Kingdom, European Economic Area or another country may be processed outside the country where you live. Where data-protection law requires safeguards, appropriate contractual or other recognised transfer protections will be relied upon through the relevant service provider.

How long information is kept
Enquiry information that does not lead to an active engagement is generally deleted or anonymised within 12 months after the last meaningful communication. If we work together, relevant project, contractual and financial records are kept for the engagement and afterwards for as long as reasonably required by legal, tax, accounting or dispute-resolution obligations.
Information may be deleted sooner when it is no longer needed or when a valid deletion request applies.

Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Irish or other EEA residents may contact their local supervisory authority, including Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.

Security and children
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
These services and lead forms are intended for adults making business enquiries and are not directed to children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through these forms.

This policy may be updated when services, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when material updates are made.
